There is something believable and honest about Florence Arman’s latest track, ‘Home’. The first half of the track has its roots in folk, leaving Arman’s voice alone amongst airy backing vocals and a crisp acoustic guitar, but the second half introduces a funky drum pattern and a mesmerising soundscape to sit beneath her winding melodies. While you can take the track at face value – a musing on frequently changing home – I’m sure just about every listener will be able to find their own meaning in her well-crafted words.
